GMON, First Timer

Hello All

I'm currently working through the Graduate Cert Program in Cyber Defense Ops.

Starting with GMON, it will be my first GIAC cert.

I'm planning on taking my first practice test this weekend and have thus far:

Read all 5 books

Listened to all the lectures

Watched and completed all the On demand content, except the capstone so far.

My index included the provided one as well as one using the 5 quizzes as a starting point plus the 'Pancake' method.

I've printed out a few of the SANS provided cheat sheets and I'm going to compile some helpful Cmdlet examples.

I've taken bigger tests before like the PMP and CISM but I worry about my technical skills so I'm mostly dedicating time to redoing the labs now. I'll repost/edit after the first practice test and go from there.

Any recommendations are welcome!

TR to IMA

Been in the USAFR going on 9 years. I did an AGR tour and about 4 years of continuous orders but now I'm leaning more into my civ career after commissioning. Im an O-1E but got put into an overage billet so I'll need to find something within about a year to make sure I don't miss my timeline for O2.

Other than RMVS and pinging misc Units, what other resources are there out there to find vacancies?

Recommendations for Moving

I'm a US citizen looking to potentially move to Poland after visiting a few times. I do have a cousin that lives in Krakow and we've spent about a month or so there and heading back again this year to experience the winter there and in Warsaw.

We have a passive income of about 9000zl monthly and have a young child. I work in Cybersecurity with a MS in IT Management and speak native English with A2 Mexican Spanish. We're both starting Polish lessons next year.

We're mainly looking to move to improve our QoL via public healthcare, safety, public transportation, and schooling for our child.

We've been to 12 other countries but we keep coming back to Poland as our favorite.

I'm looking at Krakow, Warsaw and Wroclaw in that order and currently live in a city of about 1M.

Any recommendations or insight on immigrating?

Edit: I fully intend on working full-time in Poland, not trying to retire or anything for quite some time.

Tech Recommendations

I'm looking for any tech recommendations that align well with solarpunk themes that anyone's found. Maybe something that is repairable & able to be found used/refurbished if possible.

For info I live in the Arizona Desert, drive an EV, my whole home is electric/solar powered, and I'm working on my rainwater collection system. I'm pretty handy with electronics and work in IT.
