Help with removal on dried up rubber.

i just used a eraser tool with drill to get some kind of adhesive off, i went fast at first but then slow and now the adhesive and the eraser became really hard what can i use to take all of them off now?

Looks like its caked on the headlight now. Im really trying to avoid sanding the whole thing

Ive already tried wd40, some adhesive remover spray, and also brake cleaner. I have yet to try to take it off with heat gun/flame gun
