Do the doctors actually read what patients write? I've already been charged, and my prescription has been shipped before my concern was even addressed.

The doctor prescribed me a lower dose than I'm currently taking. I clearly stated throughout my notes that I want to stay on my current dose because it's still working well for me and I can still feel its effects. Why was my request ignored? Wth!

Cucumber leaves have slightly crispy edges... These were planted a few weeks back and there was a bit of a heatwave

I planted these cucumbers during the first week of June in New Jersey (Zone 7a). They were transplanted during a stretch of hot weather, with temperatures consistently above 80°F. About four days after planting, I installed a 30% shade cloth to help reduce stress.

2 weekends ago, I've fertilized with diluted Neptune's Fish & Seaweed fertilizer and added worm castings. The plants are continuing to grow, but some of the leaves are showing symptoms that concern me.

Does this look like transplant shock, heat stress, a nutrient deficiency, disease, or something else? Should I be worried, or is this fairly normal given the conditions?

Our first year veggie garden (tips & future plans welcome! 🌱)

First pic

  • Zucchini & cucumber
  • Eggplants (hoping these naturally darken up soon—will be fertilizing end of this week)
  • Bush beans

Second pic

  • Sungold tomatoes
  • Cantaloupe
  • Cucumber
  • Bell peppers
  • Sown Balero carrots & green onion seeds

Everything is mulched with shredded leaves. There’s a cattle panel arch trellis connecting the two beds together. See third pic.

This is our first year growing vegetables, so I’m always open to suggestions, tips, or things I could've done differently (or change now)

If all goes well, we’re planning to add two more garden beds next year.🌱

Need help with how to plan future garden beds... Slight slope here too.

Pic 1: Current set up (the pavers are now centered lol)
Hey everyone!

My partner and I just built two raised garden beds (3.5' x 5' x 17" tall). Our yard is on a slope, so we tried to work with the grade while raising the beds.

Since this is our first attempt at growing vegetables, our plan is to add two new garden beds each year. Eventually, we'd like to create a larger garden area with additional cedar raised beds near the two we already have.

We're also planning to build a 3' x 5' x 10' garden pad near the shed (last pic, the yellow box area). The idea is to make a simple wood frame and fill it with gravel, then use grow bags for indeterminate tomatoes in that space.

I'd love to hear any ideas for how we could expand the garden aesthetically over time. Is it too soon to remove another section of grass for next year, or would you start preparing additional space now?

For the current garden area, we didn't remove the grass—we simply laid down cardboard and built on top of it.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
