Newcomer questions

I heard about this game long time ago but yesterday I played my first game and it was probably the best experience with a wargame my friends had so far. We played using free quick stars rules from Patreon and now I have a few questions about the game:

1)What should I buy?
I know that it is impossible to buy physical rules from quickstarter (If only I’d found out about this game a little earlier, heh) and now it seems like I have two options - indietabletop site or Patreon, right? I know that patreon gives some additional benefits but I currently can't use Discord for work reasons so I won't use the chance to get there. Or I misunderstood the situation and the indietabletop is the correct way?

2)What size of miniatures do you use?
We tried to use space marines with 32mm bases and board felt a little bit to crowded. What could you recommend?

3)How do you decidewho rerolls first?
The information about dices available to your opponent is crucial for this decision and it felt like a staring game for a few minutes, when each of us waited for the opponents decision.

4)Endgame
Our first game had a few swing, but it the end we had 2v1 situation that moved to 1v1 and it felt like cat and mouse for a good 4 rounds. How do you solve it in your games?

5)Outnumbering
Yesterday I have read post about the spear and understood that we added wrong assist bonuses with basic weapons. Just to clarify - when you attack the enemy, you gain +1 ONLY for teammates that are in base contact with the enemy, and when you defend, you gain +1 for each teammate that "touches" the enemy?

6)Starting position.
Both of our games started like a game of Go and that resulted in on big crowd near the center of the board. Are you doing the same or is it optimal strat?

  1. Campaign - probbably one of the main reasons I quit Kill team is the fact that all games felt a little bit to close to chess with dice (and no pawns) so I wanted to add a little story and some fleur. Do you guys have some campaigns and where you would recommend to look for them?

  2. Withchelm
I heard that name and all I know that this is fantasy reskin of Greathelm. Where I can learn more about it?

I hope this isn't to much questions)
