MathPad for web now has Google drive sync

MathPad is a tool for solving and storing mathematical equations in standard algebraic syntax. Rick Huebner (author of MathLib) made it for PalmOS back around 1997 - 2000. I've recreated it on the web with some enhancements (including tables and graphs).

I just put the finishing touches on Google Drive sync so your MathPad records can be accessed across devices/browsers. I had to use a custom domain name for this, so although its still hosted on Github pages, the url is now https://mathpad.hoodoop.com/

Just click "Sign in" on the upper right to start syncing.

MathPad (Rick Heubner's PalmOS equation solver) as a web app

Does anyone else remember MathPad? Rick Huebner (author of MathLib) made it for PalmOS back around 1997 - 2000. You'd just type some equations, plug in the numbers you had, and it'd solve for whatever was missing.

I've always loved MathPad but never found anything to replace its combination of simplicity and power, so I've implemented it as a standalone browser app.

Same basic idea as the original — write a system of equations and values, leave the unknown(s) blank, hit solve. I added some stuff the Palm version didn't have (tables, graphs, formatting for money/percent/etc). Most original MathPad records should still work.

Blue tape on upper right of NexDock 2025 screen

Just got the NexDock, works well except for the 1080p issue on Pixels. Mine came with a little green/blue tape on the upper right of the screen. It looks like a screen protector. I'm wondering whether to leave it or remove it? Is the screen glossy underneath?
