The other bridesmaid is also wearing green but in general we are completely free to choose our own dresses. So it could be a different colour too. I just love the style a d fabric of this one

My dad's caregiver is having a relapse (booze) and I have no clue how to handle the situation

We are lucky enough to be able to have a professional caregiver (from a company) to live with my dad 24/7. My dad's got dementia and I used to be his primary caregiver living with him, but when when the disease got worse it got to much for me and I moved out again. By now he basically needs round the clock care and he can be a danger to himself. Since a few days his caregiver has been acting strange and off, which we first attributed to the heat wave and sleep deprivation. But this morning I smelled alcohol on him and found empty whiskey bottles and glasses. He's been with us for 3 months, I'm not sure if he had been drinking before but he's definitely been drinking the last few days. I've tried to help him sober up today and I looked after my dad but I had to go home in the evening and now I'm super worried I should have done more. The company is trying to find a new caregiver but it might take a few days. I just have a lot of conflicting feelings right now, worrying for my dad, empathy for the caregiver (addiction is a disease so I do feel sorry for him) but also disappointment and anxiety. I didn't find any of his booze, just the empty bottles. But I can see on our doorbell camera that he had another glass with him on his "smoke break" just an hour ago, it's quite possibly more whiskey.

I'm a woman and I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying in the house with him over night, cause the only other bedroom doesn't lock... but I'm completely out of my depth here. Can anyone give me some insight? Should I have done something different?
