I'm so excited! I was a bit surprised at how massive it is! I've included a pic of it next to a regular sized booknook for comparison. So if you are in the fence about this one because of the price, know that you are definitely getting your money's worth! Fifijoy did an incredible job of packing it for shipping as well. Unfortunately, despite their best effort, the package was damaged in transit. I'm not worried though because I know if anything is broken, they will send me replacement parts. Stay tuned for WIP posts!

This was a very cute and fun kit to build, but I took entirely to long to finish it! However, finishing marks the end of my summer builds. Now its time for my Rolife Halloween kit!!!🎃👻🕸️🧙🦇

After some time off for vacation, I'm back on this project. I'm hoping to finish in time for the Fifijoy event coming up. This kit has been pretty easy to work on. It came with glue strips, but Im using craft glue. The most difficult part so far was putting in that store window while keeping the paper airplane hanging on the inside top - I had to undo the window and rehang it 3 times, but it has stayed ever since.

I won this booknook in a Rolife event raffle earlier this year and it finally made it to the top of my build queue.

The teddy bears (in the window) are so cute! This kit has a lot of different types of media - wood, paper, cardstock, stickers, bendable plastic, even a board of golden glitter pieces, so there's a lot of fun things to do and look at! It came with sticker strips so "no glue is needed" but I'm using glue anyway. I'm going on vacation soon, so it may be a while before I post the finished product, but Ill try to post more as soon as I can.

The further into this build I got, the more I enjoyed it! While the materials (poster board with foam in between) aren't as sturdy as the wood kits, this one gave nostalgic science fair project vibes. Some of my family members helped by decorating the wings of the shuttle. It's also huge compared to typical kits. I put it next to my magical galaxy airship in the second picture for scale.

I got a couple of these 4D Build brand kits after Christmas at Costco for $19.99. It seems to be thick paper with foam in the middle. Let's see how it goes!

Good: I love the color scheme for this kit, the dragon face, all the little buildings and the movable parts.

Not so good: I bought this kit at the beginning of November 2025, so I hope they have improved on how well the pieces snap together. Mine was not. I had to sand about 85% of the connecting parts of pieces just to get them to fit in their slots and more sanding to get them to go allll the way into their slots.This one "feature" made this the most frustrating build since my first of all time build back in September 2025.

Other thoughts: I did do some flourescent painting in places until I learned that black lights for miniatures really arent bright enough for them to really glow and using a black light flashlight wasnt working because this particular kit has beautiful blue, pink and yellow lights that drowned out the black lighting. Thats ok with me because the finish product still looka very cool. Also, the wiring for this kit is not for beginners, but the instructions were really clear. You do have to pay attention as there are two sets of lights, each one with a yellow light, blue fairy lights and pink fairy lights. If you're not careful, your wires can cross each other and look tangled. They do have color coded arrows on the walls helping you know where to "snake" the lights around and up the walls.

Final thoughts: If the pieces had fit together better, I think this would have been a more enjoyable build and taken half the time to complete.

Overall a great kit. I love the curved staircase and all the characters from the story. I did very little customization - painted the edges and added a few resin roses for 3D effect. I wanted to add more, but my 1st order the flowers and vines were too large, and my second order the vines were too plastic and not very malleable and the flowers were on both sides. There was no room to wrap them anywhere so I just left them out. Even so, it still looks magical to my inner child. 🙂

This has been fun to build so far. This is probably an earlier version of the instruction booklet, because the parts list is not perferated like they are now.The most complicated part has been the wiring, only because there are so many lights (which I think is a good thing).

I was trying to wait for the next event, but I just couldnt wait to build something....

I had fun building this FifiJoy original. The bottom floor had so much detail, to me the top seems some what bare; but, if it was meant to be an Egyptian Temple, then it makes sense. I didnt do a lot of customization - I just used two wood markers and two acrylic markers. The rest is the standard kit.

This has been a fun break from the gears and musicbox builds. Don't get me wrong, I love doing those, but sometimes its fun to do something else. I'm fascinated by Ancient Egypt, so when I saw this kit, I had to get it. I would consider it more of a miniature because some of the pieces are very tiny. I had bought some 3D Egyptian figures, but they are in a box somewhere after my move. So, when I find them, I will see if there is room to add any. As you can see, there is a lot going on inside this tomb!

It took me longer than expected, but life happened again. I had fun with this one - carousels just tend to send me back to childhood memories. The instructions were clear and all the pieces were nice thick wood and fit perfectly. I got the figurines from Amazon and used glue dots to stick them on. I hope the video brings joy to those who watch it. ☺️

I got a late start on this, but here we are. I enjoyed seeing what the "guts" of a carousel look like. Then, with each step the pieces slowly create something magical from childhood memories.
