I Apologize to DD2 GR

I was not familiar with her game. I ignored her for so long. I thought I was supposed to park her in back and toss darts and daggers for incredibly mid damage and watch as her high crit rate produced damage I could get for one PD knife.

Enter tangle. Ugh I hate the tangle, I hate having to watch the drummers, admittedly cool, drumming animation 15 times. I dismissed so many guard ignoring moves as they normally never hit the rank I need. Holy crap does that ignore guard work wonders in the tangle. Dodges for the anti shields is a chef's kiss for the tangle.

Lunge for damage, darts for shields, dagger for guards, front cleave, money printer go brr, two ways to heal herself one of which gives her dodges the other can relive stress, dancing etc. pickaxe... okay so pick axe sucks imo because darts is literally right there... But she's so good in rank 2 and I've been sticking with her in rank 4 and 3 like a fool.

I get it now. You get a pseudo tank with self sustain who can hit any rank and has a bunch of utilities. 2 mastery points and she's happy. GR I am sorry.

Help with "Setup" Teams. DD2

So coming back into DD2 after a long time I'm a bit dismayed at the changes to two of my favorite heroes Hellion and Runaway. Maybe it's a matter of acquiring a taste for the new them.

They both got saddled with what seems at first glance to me like a case of setup nerfs. Runaway wants stealth, hellion wants winded. A full turn just to taunt, a full turn for like 10% pierce. Not going to lie it hurts me a bit.

So I've been trying to find a setup team I actually like. I will use finale Jester and Star Occ all day. Easy to setup, and you basically can delete any enemy, in any position, every time the canon is loaded. But I just haven't found other setup comps to be worth it.

Really tried to get a Moribund Abom/ Instruct Duel comp going, but I find the problem with a lot of these big damage setups is that they are too slow, they struggle to hit rank 3/4 and by the time the canon is loaded the enemy has def token or your star damage dealer has a blind token. Then of course there is simply the fact that 99% of the time I need to drop rank 4 asap. (I'm looking at you tangle).

Is there a way to make these melee heavy comps worth it? If feel like they fall apart the moment you need to consistently tap the back line. Tangle is a nightmare with it's guarded drummers, priests and piercing crossbows. Stuff like drummers have massive move resistance and not only are front liners beefy to chew through, but often backliners punish you for beating them last with self destruction. The game - really - really hates when you can't just start dropping rank 3 AND 4 from round one.

How are people making things like dogs Leper work? Is it just a meme for fun? Can transformed Abom actually pay out?

Could use some guide videos for these comps because things just aren't clicking for me.
