How does God/the Bible account for humans prior to written literature or developed religions?

If we even include Jewish roots and all the pantheon stuff about Yahweh, there’s still so many who came before or existed prior to contact to receive words about the Lord. Are their souls eternally cast out simply because they were birthed at an inconvenient moment in history? I’ve tried to get into the faith so many times but this one question has been the largest barrier every time. If they hadn’t had the chance to save their souls, to learn of God, what makes me so different that I get an opportunity? TLDR; what happened to the souls of those who existed before the written or spoken word of God?

I’ll be putting my dream sheet in within 3-4 weeks, I’ve had a few instructors to ask questions, but I wanted to reach out to some sailors who are on sea rotation.
• When choosing a region/location, that means I’m choosing a home port, right? For instance, if I asked for Norfolk, I’d be 2nd fleet and sailing in the Atlantic?
• How is Cruiser/Destroyer life for ETs in the current day?
• Any ETs or VBSS qualified people able to describe what it entails? Wanted to try to get qualified in it as something cool.
• Any advice y’all have?
