Me vs the goddamn magazines
I bought a Used PT92 a couple of months ago. The fitment between the frame and slide in certain areas was light tight. Same thing with the locking block and barrel. All it had was Holster wear on one side.
I go to shoot it and sometimes the slide doesn’t lock back, and with certain magazines, during course of fire rounds would fly out. I bought wolf springs and new beretta followers. That remedied the feeding issues. But some magazines wouldn’t drop free.
I have 2 mystery meat magazines for this gun with no markings. The new followers and springs remedied the feeding issues 100% but they wouldn’t drop free. That’s unacceptable for a “combat pistol”.
Upon closer inspection I found that the magazines had a thick, almost epoxy primer like coating on them. So I decided to sand it off and reblue them.(that will be its own post in time).
TLDR: Here’s my question (finally):
In the last batch of photos should I make the mystery meat magazines match the mec gar magazines in that area? What is important about about that area of magazine geometry?
