Tom, Bert, and William AKA Greater Good in command zone (Budget 50 EUR) + Primer

Recently brewed a budget [[Tom, Bert, and William]] and had a blast, it became one of my favorite decks.

All the big Golgari creatures that I could never find a home for (e.g.[[Sheltering Ancient]] & [[Yargle and Multani]]) all fitted perfectly in this brew, albeit as sacrifice fodder.

What the deck does:

  • Draws a lot of cards
  • Has a very resilient commander (literally immune to boardwipes)
  • Mass reanimation
  • Pivot strategies during the game, can win with a big board of tramplers and by draining your opponents

Best cards in the deck:

  • [[Psychosis Crawler]] ==> Drain all opponents when drawing
  • [[Deathrender]] ==> Enables you to refresh your sac fodder after commander activations
  • [[Gwenna, Eyes of Gaea]] ==> Enables you to chain creatures with power >5 and chain commander activations
  • [[Cadaverous Bloom]] ==> Enables you to cast new sac fodder and chain commander activations
  • [[Living Death]] ==> Get all your sacrificed and discarded creatures back

I wrote a compact primer on Moxfield:

Deck is tuned for my playgroup:

  • No game changers
  • No tutors
  • No infinite combo's

But still feels very competitive.

Give it a try and let me know what you think.

If I wasn't on a budget I would have 100% included [[Endurance]] ==> Stops you from decking and is free instant-speed hate against graveyard strategies

[[Malakir Rebirth // Malakir Mire]] would also be a great addition
