Sturgill Fans: Have We Jumped the Shark?
Gandhi once said, “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians,” and that’s basically how I feel about Sturgill and Sturgill fans online —— a brilliant, literate, traditionally rooted yet fearlessly exploratory artist and his largely over-30 fanbase posting “Dick Daddy makes me FUK!!!! 🪩🍆” while, if I had to guess, probably not actually having that much actual sex.
I’ve never seen a larger vibe gap between an artist and their fans —- what’s going on with us?
