I would like to know what this rug is made of. The weave is tight so I am afraid trying to dig a fiber out for a burn test may cause a promblem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We bought this rug about 25 years ago from an interior designer who was trying to help my wife. That didn't work out but we keep the rug and a few other items that were not itemized on his bill. I can't remember what the bill was but $1,600 and $600 both come to mind so somewhere in between for his time, the rug, and some painted bamboo pieces. Wife just rolled her eyes at me. That's all I know about it. It was inside for about 15 years and when we moved 10 years ago it ended up at the backdoor on the screened porch. It is pretty dirty so we are going to clean it and that's when this discussion came up. Any insights are most welcome. Thank you
