Demiurge CrystalCoat UI shows Cosmetic_Troll / “Freeing Software Since 2075

While inspecting the Demiurge, I noticed something interesting in its CrystalCoat menu.

Instead of the standard CrystalCoat interface, the Demiurge shows a glitched-looking UI with COSMETIC_TROLL on the left side and the slogan:

“FREEING SOFTWARE SINCE 2075”

After checking the 2.3 patch notes, I found that Cosmetic_Troll is an in-universe hacker who created a cracked version of Rayfield’s CrystalCoat technology for lower-end vehicles.

So this probably explains the basic meaning of the UI.

However, I’m still curious about why the Demiurge specifically uses this interface.

Is it simply because the Demiurge is a Thornton/Mackinaw and therefore uses the cracked CrystalCoat implementation? Or could it imply that Polyhistor, Tyromanta, or whoever modified the Demiurge installed Cosmetic_Troll’s software on it?

I’m not claiming this is another hidden FF:06:B5 clue—just wondering if anyone has compared this UI across other non-Rayfield vehicles or found any references to Cosmetic_Troll in the game files/lore.

Also, while inspecting the interior, I noticed that I couldn’t find conventional brake or accelerator pedals. Instead, there are two large levers near the steering wheel labeled “High Power.”

Has anyone else looked closely at the Demiurge cockpit or compared its CrystalCoat UI to other vehicles?

Demiurge has no brake or accelerator pedals?

I've finally unlocked the Demiurge and decided not to drive it immediately. Instead, I inspected it in Photo Mode (free camera/no collision) to see how it was actually built.

A few things stood out:

  • It's clearly a Thornton vehicle.
  • It has what appears to be a V8 twin-turbo with dual exhausts, so it doesn't look like a fully electric platform.
  • However... I couldn't find any brake or accelerator pedals.
  • Instead, there are two large levers to the right of the steering wheel labeled "High Power".

As a mechanic, this immediately caught my attention. Those levers don't seem particularly ergonomic or practical for a vehicle like this, especially compared to conventional pedal controls.

So I'm curious:

  • Has anyone else noticed the missing pedals?
  • Is there any lore explanation for this?
  • Has anyone looked at the game files or concept art to see if this was intentional?
  • Or is it simply an interior model that was never finished because players weren't expected to inspect it this closely?

I'm genuinely interested in understanding the design philosophy behind the Demiurge, not trying to prove a new FF:06:B5 theory.

Any ideas or observations are welcome.

I think the Relic is starting to affect me…

I think the Relic is starting to affect me…
I’ve been down the FF:06:B5 rabbit hole for months now.
The other day, maintenance came to my workplace to reconfigure the Wi-Fi after we had some network issues. While helping some coworkers connect, I noticed the SSID was:
INFINITUMFFB5
I actually stopped for a second and thought, “No way…”
It was too funny not to take a picture.
A few hours later, someone told me they couldn’t connect anymore, so I went back to check the PC where the QR code was displayed… and the network name was gone.
For a brief moment I genuinely questioned my own memory.
Then I remembered: I had taken a photo. 😅
So yes, it was real. Just a hilarious coincidence, but after spending so much time reading FF:06:B5 theories, my brain immediately went into overdrive.
And because I couldn’t resist, here’s the fake error log my mind generated:

> establish_connection()

AUTH TOKEN: VALID
ENCRYPTION: AES-256
ROUTE: OK
TARGET: INFINITUMFFB5

ERROR 0xFFB5:
HANDSHAKE REJECTED

Reason:
Unknown observer detected.
Wake up, Samurai… I think I’ve spent too much time chasing this mystery. 😂
