everyone keeps talking about Agnes’ family and their high position within Gilead, yet all i’ve seen her dad do this season is ponder the circumstances (aside from getting Becka taken away). can someone please help me understand what makes MacKenzie so important in Gilead?

PS - never read the books, just really enjoying this show.
