If you were to add any additional character/characters to the base game roster, who would you pick and why? As well as what roles you'd pick for them
Me personally if it were up to me I'd 100% add Drax and Gamora largely for the sakes of rounding out the Guardians roster. Also I have a question in your opinion are Drax and Gamora popular like the rest of the Guardians? cause for some reason i thought they were but now I'm not too sure. Anyways in terms of roles Drax would be a Vanguard (I'd like to imagine him being essentially the closest/beta version of Sabretooth in the game meaning Drax is essentially a Vanguard version of Wolverine), and Gamora would be a Duelist (I'd imagine her playstyle being a hybrid of Magik's and Black Widow's playstyles)
Anyways if I were to choose any other characters to add I'd definitely choose Ant Man and The Wasp largely because they're founding Avengers and the MCU hasn't really done justice to Hank and Janet and I was thinking if there's anything or anyone that can do them justice it would be Rivals. I'd like to imagine Ant Man being a Multi-Role character like Deadpool with each of his sizes being a different role (for example, normal size - Strategist, small size - Duelist, giant size - Vanguard) and Wasp would either be a Duelist or a Strategist.
Other picks I have would be:
Carnage (a Duelist) my reason for choosing him is so we can have a counter to Venom, and early villain inclusion
Juggernaut (easy Vanguard) my reason for picking him would be because of his more recent role in X-Men stories with him being a member of the team during the Krakoa era
Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat (along with Lockheed) (she'd be a Duelist for many reasons but I'm mainly using that one panel where she beats tf out of Emma Frost as a reference) I'd choose her also because of her role in the Krakoa era with her leading the Marauders
Armor (Vanguard) I picked her because I think she's an underatted character and desperately needs some more attention and plus with her recent appearances in Ultimate X-Men her inclusion in Rivals would make sense. Also I'd like to imagine her being from the same timeline as Psylocke
Beast (high mobility Strategist) the game is really lacking in terms of Classic X-Men representation (even with Cyclops and Jean joining the roster) and plus with how much damage the Krakoa era did to Beast as a character I think Rivals could serve as a redemption for Beasts character
Mister Sinister (easy Strategist) the launch roster literally had Hela so Sinister's inclusion really wouldn't be that out of place. Though I have a feeling that Sinister would actually come to the roster following the release of the upcoming X-Men film for the MCU. Either way I'd love to see his freaky ass come to the game
