IHSS Live in Provider

Hi. I am my son’s IHSS provider for the past year. It is non taxable and there is no sdi taken out. I also have another job that I did pay into sdi. If i go out on disability, will the IHSS income need to be included in wages I report I received for the past year and do they consider it when determining weekly benefit amount?

Confusing results

Hello

I have had a lot of symptoms that seem similar to cushings for 4 years. I was recently diagnosed with partial empty sella (from childbirth sheehans). There is also a strong chance I have a growth hormone deficiency. So far other hormone levels are in range. My urine cortisol is low. (I tested twice) but my blood Am cortisol was slightly elevated. I’m confused. Also does anyone know if growth hormone deficiency can cause symptoms similar to cushings. I have easy bruising, irregular periods, and more.

24 hour urine cortisol: 2.7 (Reference Range less than or equal to 50)

Creatinine: 565 (Range 630-2500)

Blood cortisol drawn at 8:47am 20.9 (Range 4.8-19.5)

Pre retirement Death benefits

Hello all. Ive been a state employee for a few years, but have had to take a few leave of absences. I don’t have much in my Calpers ($10,000) and am considering cashing out. I’m pretty young and am dealing with some serious health issues so im trying to plan accordingly. Is there any benefit of leaving the money in Calpers and having my contributions paid out to the beneficiary if something happens? Ive been on leave almost 6 months.

24 hour urine test question

When doing the 24 hour urine test, did you chill the urine collected before adding it to jug or did you add it immediately?

Weird symptoms 5 days Post op

Hi. I had my gallbladder removed 5 days ago. So far since I left the hospital I have not needed any medication. Here are some of my symptoms. If anyone noticed anything similar please lmk.

Day 3: Extremely sleepy like i felt like I slept 16 + hours on and off. I would wake up and go back to sleep.

Day 4: insomnia and vivid dreams ; Its like the opposite of day 3. I kept waking up

Day 5: extreme hot flashes (even with ac on): I notice it gets worse in the middle of the night or a few hours after I eat/drink water

It seems like everyday its something new. I also feel like emotions are all over the place. Im having reflux, loss of appetite ( I did have this prior to surgery).

Gallbladder issues causing high cortisol?

Hi everyone. I apologize in advance if this is not the right community to ask this question in. Around 4 years ago I gave birth to my first child. After giving birth i started to experience so many unexplained symptoms. A lot of my symptoms seemed consistent with those if high cortisol.

A year ago a took an all day saliva cortisol test and it was elevated all day despite taking it on a day i was super relaxed and stayed in bed all day. All these years ive been to multiple doctors trying to figure out what is causing these issues with no answers. After nonstop vomiting I recently found out i have chronic gallbladder inflammation, stones, and sludge. My attacks look very different from what most people experience. Does anyone know if an inflamed organ could technically be the cause of consistently high cortisol?

Absent periods caused by gallbladder issues that a

I recently found out I have inflammation stones and sludge. I have not had a period in almost 4 months. Could this be connected to the gallbladder issues? I am usually extremely regular.

These are my results from the abdominal ultrasound:

GALLBLADDER:

Stone(s)/Sludge: Stone(s) and sludge present.

Polyp(s): Absent.

Distention: Distended > 5 cm transverse or 12 cm in length.

Abnormal wall thickening: Present.

Pericholecystic fluid: Absent.

Focal tenderness over the gallbladder: Absent.

I had a hida scan as well but the first medication they gave me they couldnt see my gallbladder so they ended up giving me morphine. They just said my scan was normal but idk if I believe that. For the past 2 years ive had peanut butter color stool, extreme bloating (I look 9 months pregnant most of the time, weight gain. I dont really have pain, but now im developing extreme nausea, sometimes vomiting, and loss of appetite. I have just started a low fat diet, but has anyone treated this naturally? Ive tried all the gallbladder pills (tudca, taurine, etc) with no relief. I want to avoid surgery if possible.
