SDI Late Payment

Hey I was wondering if anyone has had issues with receiving payment this month?

I was last paid 5/2, and my doctor submitted recertification on 5/9 and EDD let me know they received it immediately

and as of 5/20 I still haven't been paid anything , I assumed it was every two weeks like it's usually been for me, but there's been nothing, it's starting to make me anxious like uhhh I have bills please pay me

I tried calling multiple times today and I couldn't get a hold of anyone, and I'm really hoping it hits before the weekend since Monday's a holiday.

I thought they based the payment schedule from when you were last paid?

Claim was exhausted for Section 2626.2 - but doesnt make sense in my situation

So I received a message in my inbox that my claim was exhausted here is the message:

You have been paid all of the disability benefits that you are entitled to because: Section 2626.2 of the California Unemployment Insurance Code provides that a resident in a Drugfree Residential Facility is eligible for an additional forty-five (45) days of disability benefits for continuing resident services, providing a physician/practitioner certifies to the need. The maximum benefits payable for resident status shall not exceed ninety (90) days in any disability benefit period. You have exhausted your maximum amount for this disability benefit period.

So for background I was in inpatient rehab for substance abuse from january 13 until March 2 and then I went to a PHP outpatient program from March 2nd until now and plan on staying for another month or two but it is going to be hard to keep paying for the program without my disability checks.

My confusion is that the language says you can get a total of 90 days in a resident services but I was only in residential for less than 60 days and am currently in outpatient.

Is this a mistake on their end?

They only give me 255 words to appeal which is hard to convey everything.

How would you guys appeal this?

CTB Eligibility Question (20 hours a week) (Self-arranged)

Hello,

I have a quick question regarding eligibility for CTB. Currently, I am taking 7 quarter units and during my CTB interview, I was told that I must be taking 12 quarter units to qualify for benefits. I decided to withdraw my application until the fall when I will be taking 12 units per quarter, because I was told I wouldn't be able to reapply for a year if I was denied CTB.

However, I later learned that the CTB eligibility criteria states that "my training is full-time (usually at least 20 hours a week or 12 units per quarter or semester)."

My university recognizes 1 unit = 3 hours of work per week, therefore my 7 units = 21 hours of work per week. Does this make me eligible to receive benefits or am I misinterpreting the statement?

Thank you.

Not in a Resident in a Drug-Free Residential Facility - Denied SDI Claim

Hi,

I've been having problems with my SDI claim. I am wondering if anyone has been in the same boat as me. I was denied based on 2626.1 of the California Unemployment Insurance Code, which states that I was not a resident in a drug free residential facility.

I did not go into a residential rehab before signing up for IOP. I just went straight to IOP for my drug issue. From my understanding you can get SDI for being at an IOP, as it is a Partial Hospitalization Program.

My question is has anyone gotten SDI for solely being in an IOP program? There are people at my program who are currently collecting SDI no problem. But the EDD is saying my IOP isn't certified/licensed, which is blatantly wrong.

I tried searching but I couldn't find anything on this exact topic, so if anyone has dealt with this before I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks.

Edd disability late payment

Hi everybody I have a question. My dr recently extended my disability another 4 months on May 1st. I certified Saturday at midnight 5/16/26 which is technically going into Sunday 5/17/26. Usually by Monday the claim for continued benefits is approved and then I get paid by the next morning on Tuesday at 9 am. Well I keep logging in and noticed it has not been approved and it’s now Tuesday. I did receive a Text notification saying they received my claim on Sunday 5/17. Has this happened to anyone before?

SDI questions

I was laid off over 6 months ago and UI has run out (5 months ago)

I just had surgery and applied for SDI

I got a request to fill out a form verifying that I signed up for CalJobs, and asking for info on job search

I gave the date I signed up for calJobs and my last formal application for employment

But I wonder if it’s enough to be approved? What do they normally want to see to approve me for SDI?

My previous industry is very heavily affected by AI and the economy….jobs have disappeared. In order to get hired in a new industry, I will need to recover from surgery. In other words—no desk jobs available, I had to get my leg fixed so I can look for more physical work.

I’m worried now! What do I need to show them???

Thanks for any info

Where is my $ and why is it taking longer than 14 days ????????

Hello, it’s been more than 14 business days since they’ve been processing my claim. This whole situation has been a nightmare but I won’t get into it. They just sent me an email today saying an item needed my attention but all it told me was they received new medical information even though my doctor sent them info on May 1st ….

Basically when the hell are they gonna process this claim ?

EDD says they received my “Physician or Practitioner Supplementary Certificate” before I even submitted the DE 2525XX form?

I’m confused about a California SDI text I received. I am in the period of working on my extension.

My original SDI claim was filed completely by mail, not online. My doctor’s office also specifically told me they ONLY do disability paperwork through paper forms/mail and do not submit things electronically.

EDD mailed me the DE 2525XX Physician/Practitioner’s Supplementary Certificate form for my extension, but I have NOT been given back the physical form from my doctor yet and nothing has been mailed back yet as far as I know. I literally gave them the form yesterday morning and they likely haven’t even gotten to it because it takes them a few days.

But today I got a text from EDD saying:
“We received your Physician or Practitioner Supplementary Certificate.”

What exactly does this mean? Is EDD referring to something else besides the actual DE 2525XX paper form? Has anyone had this happen before where EDD says they received the supplementary certificate before the paper form was even submitted?
