posting on behalf of an acquaintance and his wife that have no clue about this.
He is a full time gig worker and his wife is pregnant (7 months). the cafe she worked at got evicted couple weeks ago.
What’s edd process like? is it better to apply in person or online? thing is, im trying to help but im clueless myself.
Are these jobs outsourced for peanuts? i just saw a guy who runs a security company offering jobs for $20/hour for the event. that sounds insanely low. not to mention, buying lunch and more importantly, getting home after work (uber/lyft/waymo surge prices)…
I’d heard about this place in the subreddit months ago but never really tried it till today. i was shocked to receive an eight inch hot pastrami sub with a side of corn chips and potato salad/slaw for $4.50!
What’s the story? there was an old black man in his 80s… id assume he was the owner. for some reason, i always thought it was owned by a japanese/korean person coz of the name.
Ive never been happy to tip $4 on a carry out before, though.
First time visiting Raleigh today. Best eateries to explore in Raleigh/triangle area that we don’t normally find/the area does better than California (sf bay area)? Thinking of North Carolina bbq, fried chicken places (if that’s a thing) etc.
Im also psyched about going to wawa for the first time in 16 years.
Also, any places that will show outdoor soccer (world cup)?
Lastly, neighborhoods to check out for apartments with great school districts should we decide to move, primarily around Cary, Morrisville, Apex.

I’m about to embark on a foreign trip and im about to make the switch from warp to light speed because lightspeed supposedly allows international romaing in my destination for free. how exactly does it work? how long does it take to switch network?
i also will be subscribing to a local sim to make local calls. so if i were to receive otp/make calls to the US, id turn on my us esim (iphone) and while do the same with my local sim?
