Englandspiel final message

I’ve just been watching an 80s documentary on the SOE and their cock ups. I don’t think I’ve ever been so haunted by anything written in an history book as I have been imagining the reception of Giskes’ message sent to London revealing that all of their agents had been blown.
.
To [the SOE section chiefs] Messrs Blunt,[nb 1] Bingham[nb 2] and Succs Ltd., London. In the last time you are trying to make business in Netherlands without our assistance stop we think this rather unfair in view of our long and successful co-operation as your sole agents stop but never mind whenever you will come to pay a visit to the Continent you may be assured that you will be received with the same care and result as all those who you sent us before stop so long.
.
Are there any other examples of a counter intelligence chief speaking so brazenly to his/her competition?

Tom and Dominic of The Rest Is History just did a great summary of The Odyssey and I have one main take away.

Odysseus and the lads absolutely loved a barbecue, must’ve been proto Australians

Trying to apply for universal credit in England after living abroad.

I’ve been back approx 3 months now, been begging everywhere for work in that time but no luck yet. I had tried to apply for universal credit when I got desperate last month but got told I’d have to be in the country for 3 months in order to be eligible. I’ve potentially got work starting in 2 weeks but can I apply for universal credit and backdate it for the last month?
Does anyone have experience in applying for universal credit after living abroad for an extended period of time? Pride has taken a bit of a kicking here

Looking for a certain documentary about a Scottish regiment in the closing weeks of the war.

It used to be on YouTube until a few years ago, was about a Scottish regiment fighting in Germany during the final days of the war. I believe it was made in the 90s or early 2000s going by how I remember the picture quality and the number of interviews with veterans but I can’t remember the name of the regiment. (Possibly the borderers or the royal Scots)

Anyone able to point me the right way?
