Would I have handled client seizure correctly if given chance?

So I'm sitting beside my client and she too is seated. Out the side of my eye, she jerks her right knee up into the bottom of the table.

She is still seated upright in her chair and she has her eyes open. Before I could say anything, she falls from her chair onto floor.

First step, I get up and am getting ready to place her on her side.

She had fallen partially on the stabilizer leg of another table which is flush to the floor.

I never made it to my second step because a member of managment came up, took over and told client to sit back in chair.

What I was in the process of doing before management took over:

  1. Place her on her side.
  2. Gently slide back table stabilizer leg she is partially on

3 Have another staff get me a pillow for her head.

  1. Have her start moving once she is fully cognizant.

  2. Do the incident report and notify her program manager

Quit

I really wanted to stay a couple of years longer.

Well, this Monday sucked.

I work(ed) a a direct care support staff in a facility that does easy production jobs that people with Intellectual Disabilities Disorders (IDD) can safely do with supervision.

I was seated at my work station with my client, working on the job the production manager assigned to him. We had all our supplies with us, lined up, and the job was in the process of being done.

Another direct care staff co-worker, from her work station second row over, calls out to my client with me sitting right there as says "hey (insert client name) do you want to work on this other job?"

I look slightly back and reply to her "Nah we're good."

Then, she proceeds to ask him again across the room. I then look back at her and with a stern voice said "I'm his staff and we are working on this job."

She then proceeds to go to the office for about an hour.

Shortly after her return to her clients, my manager walks out and tells me to come to her office and have a seat.

Three to four sentences into her monolouge, my manager says something to the effect that this other staff had complained about the way I treated her and she, my manager didn't appreciate my attitude towards this staff.

I asked that she review the video and audio. I admitted that I may have been short but the other staff was out of line.

Anyway, my manager said that this staff just walked over to my client and asked him about doing another job.

I said, "no she didn't walk over, but called out to him and ignored me when I said the first time we were good working on our current job" and "I was stern the second time."

Once again I ask for her to review footage. I asked why she was taking this staff's re-telling of this as the gospel and treating me as the one solely in the wrong.

I asked for HR to be present three times, and on the fourth time asking her she motioned and said I could call HR.

I finally convinced her to bring in the production assistant who witnessed the whole thing to tell what he saw.

The production asst told my manager that I was a little sharp but what I said didn't call for this reaction by the offended co-worker reporting me. And that this co-worker did not come her over to me and my client like she said.

While the production assistant was in there I told her that she owed me an apology for accusing me of being in the wrong before getting details because if this co-worker lied about this then jer whole retelling is off.

My manager then says "I've had multiple talks with you about this." And "Other staff have made similar complaints."

Me..."when and what staff?"

Her.."can't tell you names"

Me: "at least tell me the incident(s)"

Her "I don't recall"

Me..."seriously, you call people in the office for the least little thing. I want to know what I did to have these complaints. "

Her..Well there was that time..with HR.

(My manager then diverts back to an incident two years ago, which I was NOT wrote up, nor was it mentioned on my performance reports after.)

Me.."you mean two years ago when I got transferred to this location?"

Her.."two years ago?...."

Me. "yeah, I've been here that long. I want to know outside of that one incident two year ago, what were the circumstances of the other complaints that resulted in co-workers complaining about me."

Me "Further, I want to know why my quarterly reviews have been good and nothing ever mentioned about my attitude with co-staff. The only correction to be made on my part according to your last review was attendance. If this were really an issue you would have noted it like you did attendance."

Went to my station, completed my paperwork for my client and my hours billed, went back to my manager and her boss and thanked them for the opportunity to work there but I am leaving immediately due to a hostile work environment, apologized to co-worker I offended, clocked out.
