Clematis not really taking off

Hi, so I have this clematis in a huge raised bed I planted early last year. Last summer it flowered well and then obviously died back in the winter as expected. This year (May) it had 20 or so huge flowers that looked great, after it flowered I was kind of expecting it to produce lots of new shoots and take over the trellis however it just seems to slowly die back with dead woody stems.

I gave it a heavy mulch in spring and a light seasoning of tomorite fortnightly in the summer. The roots/base are in the shade and it gets plenty of sun all day.

Im wondering if this is typical for the type of clematis I have as im following all the advice. Not sure exactly which one it is but added flowers for reference

Thanks in advance

Easier to fix or start over?

So my lawn was newly turfed in 2024 by the landscapers who built the garden. I thought I was doing the right things by mowing on high setting regularly, heavy watering in summer once a week and feeding in spring. Each winter it has got progressively worse

A month ago I mowed, scarified, aerated, top dressed and reseeded it whilst keeping it moist. I basically have a clumpy, patchy lawn but the bumps are the most annoying part. I live in Bristol, is the soil / clay my issue and should dig it all up and reseed or shall I keep going to fix it?

The top right in the first pic is the lowest part and in winter has no grass, only mud.

Thanks!
