How much of a brick are they when you aren’t able to connect to wifi. In situations such as travel and errands

I’m a college student and want to purchase the g2s before next semester, I would plan to wear them every day for every day things. But the extra 200 seems like it could be avoided. I’ve also seen that the tech is still kind of finicky. So let me know do I need it?

Ordered Srp2s on June 3rd, it’s now the 21st, it has not gotten better

Ive seen some posts about reconstructing a power supply for the r12 or other bases to avoid the cost of ordering one straight from moza. I know the pins could be different and cause problems but has anyone that has done this help me out in informing me what I should buy?
