thank you all to everybody who mailed me a birthday card. ive never gotten this much mail in my life, and i feel so incredibly special. i’m touched that all these strangers had words of encouragement for me and wanted to celebrate with me on my 25th birthday.

Hi card friends! My 25th birthday is this week, and I'd love some birthday cards to brighten my day. My birthday has always been a bit of a sensitive subject due to bad family dynamics. I mostly cut ties over the last few months with all of them. So this year it's just my husband and I. It's all for the best and for once I'm not dreading a birthday celebration, but I feel like something's missing if it's just the two of us. I'd love to keep the good times rolling and be able to claim June as my birthday month, so card keep getting delivered all month instead of having all the excitement over in one day.

Please comment if you'd like to send something, and I'll send you my address! If you want a card in return, please respond back with your address :) I can return mail to US or WW.

I'll include a short list of things I like, but feel free to send whatever you have (birthday card or not):

- insects (my car is decorated like a large ladybug)
- most animals, especially amphibians or aquatic animals like frogs, sting rays, octopi, etc.
- flowers and glitter
- i absolutely love trains. any train stories or train imagery is appreciated. my favorite train line is the Rock Island Railroad
- favorite colors are red and black (due to the ladybugs 🐞).
- Pokemon
- stamps. I save all stamps I receive and collage them into future artworks. If you have unique stamps or can do stamp math, I will treasure it forever.
- reading, particularly biographies and lit fic. My favorite author is Betty Smith. I'm always interested in hearing about your recent reads.

Not sure which postcard to chose?
- I appreciate postcards from local museums or small parks. The more niche the better
- I like old and vintage cards
- I always love handmade cards. Even if you don't think you're good at making them, I promise I see the beauty in them!
- I love art themed cards
- I'm fond of stickers and ephemera that I can re-use in my scrapbooks

This is my first year working up North (off Interquest), and I'm trying to plan my commute for tomorrow. I'm coming up from Fountain and I need to be at work between 8 and 8:30. I saw on the news to expect heavy I-25 traffic starting at 6am. Is it worth it to take an alternate route? Powers and Academy are both options that I take sometimes. Or I could stay with some friends up here to avoid the traffic.... Looking for advice from people who know better than me lol

I’ve been out of the sending/receiving game for a bit and it has been so so so nice to have more postcards than bills in my inbox. i’m treasuring all of these cards and thank you for taking the time out of your day to send me things :)
