Tonight the City of Erie will have our annual "Lights Over Lake Erie" at 10pm launched from the Bicentennial Tower at Dobbins Landing.

Alaska's state bird is here in Erie. Strange but interesting!

Checking First Energy's map these are the locations within the county with people without power:

• Erie
• Edinboro
• Lake City
• West Millcreek
• Wesleyville

There might be more, and or some of these locations maybe up and running by the time I post this.

Erie is opening three cooing centers this week from 10 am to 4 pm, due to the hot temperatures.

• Perry Square (571 State Street)
• Gridley Park (598 Liberty St)
• Wayne Park (near 1001 Atkins St)

Water donations can also be dropped off at any of these locations.
