For the love of all that is holy, bring back classic search

Please, I am begging you, bring back classic search.

Your AI search is horrible.

I can't even sort jobs by 'most recent.' The postings I'm seeing are from 3 days to 3 weeks ago. The 'last 24 hours' option is not the same as most recent, so don't even go there.

There is no need for "AI search." I can't even imagine what benefits this is supposed to deliver. Like many, I already struggle with your platform just deciding not to show me relevant roles until it's too late. This is making everything worse.

None of your users are saying WOW! AI! AMAZING!

None of them. There is no need to do something this dumb for the sake of joining some imaginary cool kids club.

Change. It. Back.

Who the heck is Mohawk Man in 10 Things I Hate About You?

https://preview.redd.it/fdgmz4ceknbh1.png?width=1478&format=png&auto=webp&s=0fdc034f52095bfe2a3b96b01be683540d394cfb

See the guy in the mesh shirt with the mohawk? He appears in a few scenes in the movie as a friend of Patrick (I think?), but never speaks a word. He also looks way, way too old to be in high school. I mean, check out that hairline.

I get the feeling he was supposed to be more of a supporting character, but perhaps his lines got cut. Anyway, I've always wondered and was curious as to whether someone might know.

Why no reaction to the OpenAI reveal?

So, to me, the leak of OpenAI's financials, and their extreme shitiness, is a HUGE story. Like, WHOAH. Holy moly.

But I haven't really seen anything in the news about it at all. What gives? I thought it would get at least a little traction.

Doom Trolling - NYT

Alright, gotta admit that's a great term. And I'm glad someone is calling them out on this particular brand of evil shit. I'm so tired of "You're all going to die because of our tech, oh well."

"Like a cat leaving a dead bird at your doorstep, Anthropic catalogs the grim future that its products might produce, shrugs its shoulders and then returns to its furious efforts to make these warnings a reality."

Labor shortages. What gives?

I've been searching for a job for months, in the marketing/content/editorial space. Only speak basic Dutch. But also applying for many other roles that I could definitely handle and only require English, like hotel front desk, museum assistant, tourist company helper, etc.

I can't any calls or interest for these roles, and just a little bit for my sector. But every day, I see something about these crazy labor shortages and how bad they are.

Any insights as to the disconnect?

The wisdom of...Cosmopolitan?

Alright, kind of surprised but also impressed. Cosmopolitan has a well-written article that's critical of AI and calls out Reese Witherspoon for her recent "Use AI or get left behind" message to women. A snippet:

"Sure, using AI for efficiency in quickly organizing lists or completing mindless tasks can be beneficial. But relying heavily on it for creative endeavors or extensive research takes away the most powerful things we have: our autonomy, our voices, and, most importantly, our humanity."

The plot also thickens when you discover that Reese's production company, Sunnie, offers AI courses with Purdue. Gee Reese, how transparent of you!
