The tragic loss of a dedicated Maldivian brother in the recent diving accident should serve as a wake-up call for our entire country. It is disgraceful that a member of our military was sent into a high-risk situation without the proper equipment, all to rescue individuals who willfully ignored established diving depths. This happens because our regulations lack real enforcement.

We must question where our national resources are going. While overpaid officials sit comfortably in offices siphoning wealth, the men defending our country are left under-trained and under-equipped.

With the funds available, our divers should be provided with world-class training and advanced career opportunities. As a former dive instructor, seeing a rescue team attempt to penetrate a cave system without closed-circuit rebreathers was a clear sign of systemic failure. We were entirely unprepared.

I went for a jog uphill and a farmers dog came running at me it jumped at me. Luckily I was walking at this point to catch my breath. I moved away quickly and prepared to kick tf out of it if it decided to come at me again. Dog ran away to the owner. For the record it walked out with the owner and came running at me.

Is this normal behaviour for a dog ? Should I just never run on that route ? Arent they supposed to be trained not to run and random people walking on the street ? I know it's not fun for the dog to be on the leash all the time. I also do like them.

I need advice on what to do in this kind of situation.
