I made a concept album 100% on my MPC and the vinyl arrived today! From lab to record:
The album is a concept album based on the story of Icarus, mostly set in outer space. Made 100% on my MPC, no other DAW. All instruments and even vocals went through here.
It’s a mostly instrumental album but with Orlando Coolridge providing vocals from the protagonist’s point of view at the beginning (ambition), middle (hubris), and end (regret) of the album.
The vinyl itself is a depiction of the setting of the story. The blue = ocean. The black = space. The yellow label = the sun.
I have posted a lot of videos on here over the past few years. Most of those ended up as part of the project. I absolutely love my MPC.
