Hey guys! I wanted to take an EW for a class because it could bring my GPA down. I heard some people on campus who said that their EW requests were accepted, and it was pretty easy. Does anyone have any advice or tips?
Hi y'all! I did not pass Calculus 1, which is a major prerequisite for my major. I emailed the UC I am 100% committed to, but they asked if I can write a letter on why I did not earn a passing grade.
For starters, I am not great at calculus, but I had attended office hours, went to tutoring sessions, and studied heavily to earn passing grade. Unfortunately, I didn't pass. However, my professor was quite unorganized, and never posted grades on our exams, homework, quizzes, and other assignments. I was never aware of my grade overall in the class because he turned off grading on his canvas. I feel like that played a major factor as well (I don't even know how he graded my overall grade for me to not pass). Any tips on what I can write about? I would say all these points, but I do not want to put the professor at fault here. I would just want to note that. I take full responsibility for it, and it was also an accelerated session! Any tips on how I can structure this? I am in the process of drafting it
