More thoughts of Luna Montana’s Camelot content

I previously posted on here critiquing Luna for how she slandered her male dance partner in her vlog and was trying to get her viewers to hate him. I was briefly watching some of her most recent dress rehearsal vlog, and there is a part where she is upset because her teacher complimented her male partner and not her, because it made her insecure. To be fair, I did not watch the whole vlog yet, so maybe i ‘m missing some context. And she did express that it was her own insecurity being triggered, not necessarily that her teacher was in the wrong. But the way she framed it was still enough to fill her comment section with people complaining that her teachers at this ballet studio are unsupportive and she should leave their company, even though its not a company that is is a part of lol. She also complains about not enough people in her personal life buying tickets to the show, which has a lot of fans being sympathetic towards her. Her comment section is always heavily filtered to only show positive comments, so I am curious what other people’s thoughts are. If I were this ballet studio I would never want to work with her again personally.

So my hair type is in the sort of wavy category. I think if I can get the right routine it would be nice ”beach waves”. It is also definitely on the fine side. Its the type that is never perfectly straight or wavy, but it is not “frizzy”, its more prone to being oily. I do notice that if I do not brush it after I shower, it is pretty wavy, but if I brush it, even in the shower when its very wet, it does not dry very wavy, even if I do a curly routine. Plopping can help shape the waves but usually messes up the roots if I do it for more than like a couple of minutes.

My current routine:

Shampoo + conditioner with the tresemee nourish & replenish line

a DIY leave in conditioner using a mix of a little bit of salt, water, and the tresemee conditioner in a spray bottle. I like to brush it so the leave in distributes well, but like I said brushing it takes away the waves

herbal essences curl boosting mousse that I use prayer hands and scrunch in. It does not always make my hair more wavy but it does make my hair very soft which is great.

loreal glycolic gloss as a sort of gel because it makes my hair a lil crunchy

I either twist my hair or plop it to try to form waves, but like I mentioned, it does not hold the waves unless I do not brush at all. However if I do not brush my roots can dry a bit wonky. I airdry or sometimes diffuse. Once it is dry I need to brush it or else it looks greasy and stringy, but on days when my waves turn out it looks nice when it is brushed out. I wash it daily because it is thin and gets oily. I sleep with it in a scrunchie because it gets crazy tangled when I sleep. I know this post fits better on the wavy sub, but I don’t have enough karma to post there.

In Luna’s most recent vlog, titled ”a breakdown at ballet rehearsal” she films her older male costar “ignoring“ her during their rehearsal, while making exasperated faces at the camera through her footage of him.

After, at the 12 minute mark, she films a tearful breakdown in her car where she complains about various things like how she turned down coachella/influencer related opportunities for this, and her camelot tiktoks are not getting high views. She then complains about her male costars, saying they are unprofessional and do not come to the studio with the choreo memorized well enough.

I feel like this vlog in unfair for a few reasons:

1.) Her costars, particularly the older gentleman, likely do not have a large enough social media presence to give their side of things without getting hate from her fans, and may not be aware of what she is saying about them.

2.) Luna complains that her older costar would ignore her choreo suggestions. However, when she was trying to suggest choreo, it was during a point in the rehearsal where the man was marking his solo part of the choreo. He seemed like he was trying to focus and she was interrupting his thought process. It also seems like she should ask the ballet choreographer or director about choreo changes instead of him, especially since it had nothing to do with their partner work. She just did not want to have to wait at the side for him to finish his solo.

3.) It seems like she is only slandering the other dancers because she needs an “arc” or a villain to draw people into her camelot content, because she mentioned how she felt her camelot stuff did not have enough stakes to keep people engaged compared to nutcracker content. It also makes it seems like she does not care about ballet, she just wants views and money.

4.) She seems salty any time the attention is off of her. She was mad they cut some of her choreography to showcase the students who are doung ariel work, and literally could not give her male partner solo time without her also performing something at the same time.

** My initial post was on bunheadsnark was deleted twice despite not breaking any obvious rules, so I am trying to repost here.
