Is 10 km in 35 mins avg

My daily commute to my university is about 10 km and I used to do it in 45 mins when I started now that its been almost a month I do it in 35 30 mins if the weather is not hot. Theses days the temp is 35 to 40 degree Celsius in rawalpindi on avg and so it limits me from pushing too much dehydration an all. I do the 10 km without any breaks mostly sometimes I do have to hydrate once in between. From the pro cyclist out there I need advice I started doing cycling bcs of the petrol hike but also bcs I was spending too much timein the gym on the treadmill running fixing and making a good heart health and cardiovascular endurance. There's no goal or threshold I want to achieve. I just want to keep growing and getting stronger. Am I on the right track ?
