Beginner - Cycle buying guide

Guys! I want to start cycling, havent done it for over 12-13 years now lol. Im 27M and this seems like the perfect way to staying fit, physically and mentally.

How much would I need to buy a cycle? I dont want to spend a lot, would 30k be enough?

A friend suggested buying a used one and getting it fixed. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Is this a good cycle for starting?

I got this cycle as a gift a long time ago. It was perfect smooth and lovely to drive. But i had an accident and the gear shifter was damaged. And ever since it hasn’t been the same. Suggestions? Do i sell it and get a new one or fix this up?

A cheaper, healthier way to socialize in Islamabad.

Some fun gupshup, some exercise, exploring different routes and enjoying the sunset on a Sunday when traffic isn’t so crazy makes for quite a relaxing outing. Albeit, I won’t be sad to say farewell to this shorba weather.

Location (as required by the rules that be): Faisal Masjid, Islamabad

Just getting into cycling. Do I really need to spend around 50k for a bicycle?

I've heard you have to get the good ones if you want to ride long distances but what if you don't? Are the Chinese bikes bad for like a 10-15km ride?

Where Sand Meets Snow — Skardu Cold Desert 🇵🇰❄️🏜️

One of the most unique places in Skardu is the famous Sarfaranga/katpana Cold Desert, where you can witness sand dunes surrounded by snow-covered mountains at the same time.

It honestly feels unreal when cold winds, desert views, and majestic peaks all come together in one place. During winter, the desert sometimes gets covered with snow, making the whole landscape look like something from another world.

Whether you love adventure, peaceful landscapes, camping, photography, or simply nature..,Skardu’s Cold Desert gives a completely different experience from anywhere else in Pakistan.

This is the kind of beauty that makes Gilgit-Baltistan unforgettable 🇵🇰🏔️

Question about gear cycles

I'm trying to buy a gear cycle as I never used gear cycles before but where ever I go everyone says that it's gears sooner or later will be out of order and I have to use it without gear.

Is there not a single cycle that have best quality gears with warranty?

Need guidance

AOA,
Can anyone guide me about this cycle?

Is it worth it?

I did a quick search and it seems like UAE stuff but I don’t know much about cycles.

I am trying to avoid Chinese cycles and buy an imported one.

TIA

Still one of Islamabad’s quieter escapes: F-9 Park

Sometimes it becomes imperative to just go out and destress with everything that’s happening around us. And as green spaces continue to dwindle in Islamabad, it’s even more important that we protect what little we have left.

Do you guys ride over flyovers or avoid?

Hi, I’m a beginner and started cycling a few months back, I have a hybrid and recently I rode for almost 20km for the first time.

During that ride, I crossed a flyover (Naata Khan bridge, if you’re from Karachi) which is not very steep but I really struggled climbing, I think I was not expecting the amount of effort it would take.

So on my way back, I completely avoided the Wireless Gate flyover which is actually steep and I thought I won’t be able to do it.

Do you guys go on flyovers or avoid, especially if there is enough traffic?

Today I discovered... that Emporium Mall Lahore has a dedicated parking for bicycles! Yippee!

And guess what?

The parking is absolutely free!! 🥳😇

SO FKN HAPPY RIGHT NOW. ITS BEEN A LONG JOURNEY

It's been a long journey, but not a long time. 3.5 months before i was a 110 plus kg, struggling to even do 10 k,m and now, for the very first time, I completed 50 km on a single-speed MTB. literal chills all over my body when the distance hit 50 k. I just figured out and followed my hobby every single day, and the result did pay off.

I just wanted to share my happiness with y'all
