Sarfaranga Cold Desert in Skardu.

Standing there at 7,500 feet with the white sand under your feet and the Karakoram peaks looking down at you is something we never take for granted. If you're planning to visit our home, here is how to experience Sarfaranga properly, respect the local culture, and avoid the usual tourist traps.
Most people don't realize that Sarfaranga isn't just a random desert; it's a high-altitude ecosystem carved by the Indus River and glacial winds over thousands of years. It’s only a 20 to 30-minute drive from main Skardu city. Please don’t overpay drivers for "special 4x4 tours" just to get to the desert, the main roads are completely paved and smooth. Any regular car can get you to the entrance.

Seven Lives Lost in Tragic Fairy Meadows Road Accident

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

A tragic accident on the Fairy Meadows Road in Diamer has claimed the lives of seven people, including six tourists and their driver.

According to reports, the vehicle fell into a deep ravine, and all passengers lost their lives at the scene. Rescue teams, police, and local volunteers responded immediately and carried out recovery operations.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this heartbreaking time. May Allah grant the departed eternal peace and give strength and patience to their loved ones.

Roads in the northern areas can be beautiful but also challenging. This tragedy is a painful reminder of the importance of road safety and caution while traveling.

Rest in peace. 🤲

Karachi’s “Don Rob Show” is now creating a lot of buzz in Skardu 😄🇵🇰

Don Rob Show is a foreign traveler currently touring Pakistan. He is showing Pakistan’s hospitality, culture, and natural beauty to the world, and has become quite popular among people.

Earlier in Karachi, he entertained everyone with his friendly and positive personality, and now he has reached Skardu. He is truly impressed by the beauty of Skardu..

Just a fun thought..karachi’s guy is now enjoying skardu, while many of them still planning trips 😄

A foreign traveler (“Don Rob Show”) recently shared their experience of Skardu, and it really caught my attention.

They said they were honestly speechless in front of the mountains.. and that no photo or video can capture the real beauty of Skardu. What’s even more interesting is that they were unsure about visiting Pakistan at first, but their experience completely changed their mindset.

This is exactly why people should explore Pakistan’s northern areas themselves instead of believing assumptions. 🇵🇰

The beauty of Skardu isn’t just visual .. it changes your perception.
