i dunno if anyone had mentioned it, but doesn't Ninnin and the Moongazers feels a bit too much like Traveler and the Descenders?

The 4th Descender Traveller AND Ninnin

1. Both Have a mission.

Ninnin have a mission she needs to do, that is fulfilling "the last wish of a dying civilization" of sending message across the stars. At first, i thought this was quite similar to traveller having a mission of finding his sister. but then, i realized, with the information we have from the traveller skin (the whole genetic vault and pioneer ark) wouldn't it be possible that the traveller are journeying across the stars to find a new home for their race (humanity)? that probably counts as a mission, a mission that came from "the last wish of a dying civilization".

2. Both Have the Power to absorb and handle energy.

Ninnin absorbs the energy/data from the terminal and absorbing her own kin (merge). the way she does it is way too similar to how traveller absorbs and handle energy no? especially abyssal energy throughout the game.

the gameplay we had against ungien, doesn't that feels really familiar? a big (ex)dragon who's corrupted by something and us (ninnin/traveller) coming to rescue by absorbing the corruption energy (abyssal energy).

also, ninnin going around the moon to go to all the terminals, collecting data? that's basically the same as us going through teyvat to get to all the statues of the seven, gathering all elemental energy no? (data = energy)

3. Name

this is a bit trivial, but both have our own name that we know of (ninnin/aether or lumine) but both have a nickname other call us with (eggie/traveler). this is really just for fun, but if ninnin is truly traveler equivalent, after the moongazer quest, we realized ninnin might not actually have been "nin-kiggia" aka the real ninnin. if genshin continues their style of leaking future contents during the last patch of the region, what if Aether isn't really Aether? just food for thoughts.

tbh, i started thinking about this all when i rewatched columbina and aether talking in the moon's core. she says the path ninnin is walking right now is part of project moongazers. it got me thinking...

4. Walking Path that have been Walked.

the way ninnin walking the path of past moongazers or the past black kuuhenki (who's probably similar to her/twin), isn't that the same as us walking the journey our twin have finished? what if that's the reason why the twin want us to finish the journey across teyvat? what if she let us do all that for a particular project we don't know about yet? (just like how ninnin have no memories of her mission yet)

the 2nd Descender/Nibelung and The 2nd Moongazer/Ungien

Both journeyed across the stars. both returned to teyvat with change happened to them. Nibelung became the Dragon King of Darkness after merging with abyssal power, Ungien became a stellar black body after merging with an unknown entity.

the 3rd Descender and the 3rd Moongazer, Lusalim

at first, i thought the 3rd Moongazer would be Magees geti, but maybe it's more about the same generation/era? magees geti and ungien is around the same generation, meanwhile lusalim is one under them right? also, Magees geti feels more like the dragon sovereign (looking at you dendro dragon) caring for the abyssal dragon Nibelung.

Lusalim and the 3rd descender both have their info erased (one from the moon surface, the other from teyvat). we dunno what happened to 3rd descender, but we only got info on lusalim from the corrupted data (abyssal power/forbidden knowledge? inside ungie body that ninnin then absorbs) and more info on the dark side of the moon. both was erased from the era after doing something ridiculous, lusalim creating the lunar veil, and striking a deal with Heavenly Principles after to let everything else moongazer related safe. meanwhile the 3rd descender after opening the gate of pohjola. which makes me wonder, if the 2 does indeed mirror each other, did the 3rd descender strikes a deal with the heavenly principles so HP could give mercy to the people around him, just like lusalim gave the lunar veil project as a bargaining option so the other lunar research is safe?

Others

If the path that ninnin walk is supposed to be mirroring ours, considering our first path includes fighting against a dragon corrupted by unknown data/abyssal energy, will our path at the end mirrors ninnin? what if at the end of it all, either we sacrifice ourselves or we journey across the stars like ninnin did.

there were some other thing i was considering and theorizing, but still couldn't come to conclusion. so i'll just end it there.

if i got any info/details wrong, sorry. i'm not really built for this. sometimes, an idea came to mind, so i gotta write it before i forgot, so i didn't cross check any info that might have been wrong. the only thing i didn't write cuz i wasn't sure was, how both traveller and ninnin forgot their past. but i realized, the traveller didn't forgot their past despite sometimes acting like one.

Like seriously what could even Aang even do, Traveler at max scales to 5-A Large Planet level meanwhile Aang at best scale to 5-C Moon level, let not forget Traveler has more elements and hax, like the only way i could this be ever close is thougth extremely wanking but even then i don't think Aang could win
