Even with something to help them beat the boss like sword of Narzissenkreuz they still fight alone. More people should pay attention to world quest. The philosophy of we need to make enemies progressively stronger than Traveler so that the 5 star can shine otherwise shouldn't always be done.

then again I doubt genshin players know the difference between the boss being made strong so that characters can shine Columbina, Nahida and Neuvillette can shine and now we have Ronova so that Tsaritsa can shine and Traveler being weak arent the same.

you can argue it's about stakes however an opponent relative to or not strong as Traveler can still be made the main threat of archon quest or rather secondary antagonist. Which genshin kinda did with Signora and Childe.

Traveler not being able to solona specific enemy somehow puts them a tier below where they are supposed to be in some players minds

Traveler defeated the thunder manifestation and a primo geo vishap. fighst without help from any special quest companion, special sword or anything.

The playable characters dont call out Traveler? Call them out for what exactly, there's like less morally grey actions that the Traveler does in voiced quest, in which they are mostly a good person. The morally grey actions like killing Bandits and the Tanit tribe are in world quests with no playable characters, even with that the Traveler was fighting for their lives which means the playable characters would understand.

Mind you Traveler has not actually done actions that harm innocents even unintentionally yet. While the game moves on quickly from them executing the Iwakura bums and Tanit bums, we have to remember that Traveller wasn't hesitant nor did he look for another way. Also when he slashed one of Sandrone’s creations, the Fatui guard he was like "Why aren't you bleeding."

In the 6.6 Archon quest the Traveler is happy that Masseira died they simply say to Jeht "wipe the blood of your hands."

I understand if people don't want Hoyoverse to move on too quickly from such stuff, but expecting Traveler who showed no remorse or second thoughts to suddenly have a double take i don't know about that. with Traveler's writing not being so complex you would think it would not have this much misunderstanding of their character.

The 5.1 Citlali that people got stuck on an post about only appears in certain scene and only acts like that in context of those scenes. For example she was angry with Ororon because he was working with Oh Captain my Captain strongest member of the Fatui Harbingers by the way he's reputation proceeds a true knight. Citlali being upset and threatening to break his legs which im sure she wouldn't to her grandson is because she wants the best for him when in the past she didn't stop him from almost being sacrificed. She wasnt like that in all the other scenes.

Ironically people reduced her to a ons character trope, but it's ok because it’s not waifubait. A character acting differently in different contexts isnt a change in their entire personality. Yes Traveler stole Citlali's heart and Citlali will act differently when it comes to them like come on that should be obvious.

There's good critics on Citlali's behaviour her childishness being a 200+ year old Shaman and her jealousy towards non rival characters. But it stops there and becomes the character isn't always like what i like about them, oh what a shock you act differently in different situations must be a new update that dropped from the Heavenly Dev. Also in 5.3 Citlali was literally going to beat those Fatui and those Npcs.

Also people post that scene in her story quest in jp ignoring that in En it sounds more like she's surprised it's Traveler who's there instead of those npcs that challenge her. She was about to beat those fatui and Montlusso had to pretend to sort things out. The Traveler was literally the culprit rizzing her when they were investigating about the Seven colours. Not every scene in her story quest is romantic i can count two. Putting romance aside her agreeing to help Traveler instead of Montlusso was because they knew them better and trust them more. Remove the unnecessary jealous moments and you have a good ship.

Citlali's entire character didn't change and i will stand on that hill.

Also there's something called just not caring about a character and not liking them you don't need to make claims on them although not baseless are still not entirely a correct evaluation of the characters.

You will genuinely see good criticism but then what follows after is outlandish claims

Due to recent leaks feeding fuel to the flame, it's always people putting Traveler in the wrong about this. The game not having someone say, "Traveler defeated La Signora in a duel that's why she died." Is a writing problem not Traveler's. How sure are we those players will be satisfied by hearing someone talk about Traveler's involvement in the duel. Goalpost are definitely gonna shift if they address it

First let's go what we know about them so far. Firstly their appearance.

They appear like any other humans with no animal features. They behave like normal human beings. They used to have 6 golden wings for each of them

History: They were the scions of a world which was destroyed by the star devouring darkness(the abyss). Travelled the universe alone after it's destruction hoping to find a place to call home.

Age: Traveller's are probably over 6000 years old as they came to Teyvat thousands of years ago, their ship made a stop but didn't land at first then later came and then actually landed.

However all this doesn't necessarily tell us what they are

Let's look at possible candidates.

1. Dragons. In Teyvat they are elemental life forms capable of manipulating the elements and can adapt to their environments, taking on different forms unless it's a case of reincarnation like Neuvillette. If we look at Traveler, they can use the elements but they do not change form to adapt to environments. They however are compatible with the primordial elements like Kuuvahki and Phlogiston. They are so compatible that even Nicole infusing 5 times of the required amount of Kuuvahki didn't affect them. Reincarnation for the Traveler cannot be supported since there's nothing pointing to it in the game.

2. They aee seraphim. They have six wings and have a high rank on a planetary level since seraphim are high ranking angels. However the comparisons stop there.

3. They are humans from a more advanced civilisation than Teyvat. We know that in genshin people like Lauma are still classified as human meaning the term is not restricted to just having human features only. Albedo points out that they are not much different from the humans on Teyvat however he did leave out something which I hope they will address one day.

Now let's talk about their birth. In the outfit as Heaven and Earth are made anew their birth happened the same year the twins are born. If we are to think that those two events are not separate and actually are linked then it would mean the supernova caused the twins birth. One of the aftermath of that is a nebula which leads to the birth of new stars and planets. The Twins are human stars born from that.

However since I would have to choose one the most likely option is human from an advanced civilisation with the ability to use energy sources that are only compatible with other species or individuals

People call Traveler useless because of a hypothetical scenario where if they didn't exist things could have been less worse still because the people of Teyvat aren't just sitting ducks they are. Fontaine and Liyue are the biggest example used for this. They argument somehow is supposed to invalidate what they did? Monstadt would have been doomed as well as Nod Krai. In Natlan could Mavuika have defeated Gosoythoth alone? Maybe because she still had support from her People so she exactly wasn't alone.

But the reality is the Traveler did it, they contributed and the hypothetical didn't happen.
