Need some tips for my bard games

I usually have a very great time when the lane is even or we are winning, but one of the hardest things for me as a bard player is when me and my ADC are pushed back into our own tower for an extended period of time. I was recently playing with a Caitlyn against a Lulu and a Tristana and they had us pinned against the tower for a majority of the laning phase. Every single time we tried to go up and take back control, we would get annihilated immediately. I was wondering if maybe using a control ward for my jungle would be helpful. I also didn’t even know if I could roam because if I did and left my ADC she would die almost instantly. Any tips for games where I am always shoved into my own tower?

I have three big questions as a new league player who only loves bard

I started playing bard around May and now I’m about to hit silver, these are my biggest concerns!

  1. Building items is basically impossible in which ones I’m supposed to get when. I love watching lathyrus, and I follow his new build order (dead man’s, locket, bloodsong, imperial) but from there, I don’t know what to build, and I also don’t know if there are situations in which I should be building other items from the main path I just mentioned. I know it’s situation for whatever team I’m playing against, but I don’t know how to tell what to build and when

  2. I have learned to roam a lot. Right now, I only really roam when we crash wave and get back around the time they push the wave back to our tower, but I don’t get how some people who play bard make it all the way up to top lane to gank! The most I usually go is Mid, and if objective is almost up in top river, I usually will go help out. Is it a problem if my ADC dies while I am gone, and is it okay if sometimes I don’t make it back when the wave crashes into our tower if I am helping out somewhere else?

  3. I am so clueless with my ult. I’m good at using it bot with 2v2’s but I usually mess up in team fights. My teammate will try and land a stun or ability, but I have frozen the enemies. Any tips for that?
