Raising teenage sons

Hello fellow parents. I need help.

My teenage sons act like everything I say is the most annoying thing they’ve ever heard. And to be honest I’m pretty annoyed that I have to repeat myself all the time.

Is it useless to explain reason to a 17 year old who doesn’t see that becoming nocturnal over the summer is going to make going back to school in a few weeks really hard for him? I wish I could just let them “know it all” but ultimately I’m (the entire household, dogs included) the one who suffers the repercussions when the storming around the house or rage hits because he is late for work or the house is too noisy.

The 13 year old isn’t that much better. Won’t do the chores he “knows” he needs to do so I have to ask a million times and then he gets mad at me for nagging.

I’ll be honest, I’m tired. I don’t want to nag, I don’t want to have to tell them what to do. It really goes against my personality but nothing gets done if I don’t say something over and over.

What do I do?

Blue or Black?

Pretty sure this is a Swedish duckling but is it a blue or a black? Or am I way off with breed?
