looking for a 2-card setup, one for travel/flights, one for online shopping & cashback (24M, 1.2L/month, CIBIL 779)

hi everyone, been lurking here for a while and finally want to upgrade from my beginner card. Planning to apply for two cards, one focused on flights/hotels, and one for everyday online spends and cashback, would appreciate suggestions on what combo makes sense for my spend pattern.

Current card: FD-backed My Zone Easy Credit Card, it has low limit (~40k), got it ~2 years back. Sitting on around 11k Edge points that I haven't redeemed. This is my only cc so far.

Basic details:

  • Age: 24
  • CIBIL: 779
  • Income: ~1.2L/month
  • Employment: Consultant at a startup
  • Existing cards: just the one above

Monthly spends: roughly 25–35k on essentials + online shopping

Top monthly categories:

  1. Gadgets and electronics
  2. Electricity bill (~5k)
  3. Gym and diet stuff (whey, healthy groceries), mostly Blinkit or amazon
  4. Online subscriptions for tools + entertainment
  5. Cafes, food delivery, and grocery runs (grocery mostly offline)

Top annual categories:

  1. Flight tickets, domestic and international
  2. Hotels, Airbnbs, and general spending while travelling
  3. Electricity bills
  4. Groceries and gym supplies
  5. Gadgets and subscription renewals

What I'm looking for:

  • Zero forex markup (I already have a separate forex debit card, but still want this on the credit card)
  • Annual fee around 2k or less, ideally with a fee waiver on spends
  • Good cashback/rewards on online shopping and flight + hotel bookings
  • Decent redemption value if it's a points/miles card, i don't want points that are stuck at 0.20p per point
  • Lounge access, both domestic and international
  • Cashback or reward points, no strong preference, whichever gives better value for these spends

Questions:

  1. What 2-card combo would you recommend here? Open to any bank.
  2. Should I close or keep the FD-backed Axis card once I get an unsecured one? Also, is it worth redeeming the 11k Edge points now or holding?
  3. I am also open to 1 card if i can get all this in a single card, would you recommend that or splitting in 2?

Thanks in advance.

okay so this is a new low for me but whatever

to the girl i saw last sunday evening, i was at Idli & More, Bhopal, you were there with your family, white dress, tall, early 20s, and i was with my friends

we made eye contact like four or five times. maybe six, i lost count because I kept looking away like an idiot

i told myself i'd go say hi but you were with your family and it didn't feel right

if this is you, hi, would love to actually talk this time if you're open to it, no weird expectations or anything, I just figured posting on reddit was slightly less embarrassing than doing nothing

(it is not less embarrassing, but here we are)
