I’m 27[F]. When my mom was my age she had no job, dated abusive men for a roof over our heads, and birthed three kids, the most recent one being put up for private adoption. I have a career, my own townhome, and 3 cats, no kids.
As a child I thought she was so grown up at this age but being this age now, I know she absolutely was not and I resent her for it. We haven’t spoken in 2 years.
Editing to note my mother is only 18 years older than me, born in 1980. So not poisoned with lead or something, just her own decisions.
