Started the white stork painting

I am at a stage where I have to decide how much details I want to put in. And the right wing needs a little adjustment.
Got a new sketchbook
It's bamboo paper and gets damaged pretty quickly so it kinda forces me to leave things be and not overwork the sketches
My Husband found a Jay feather so I made this for him to frame
Bird #2
I decided to make a little series of bird paintings for some vintage frames I got gifted and this is the second one for this project! It's loosely based on a robin.
Watching you
Little guy was watching me through the window
17 x 24 cm cold pressed cotton
Thank you all! Updated painting I was stuck on
So I took all your suggestions to heart and this is now the finished piece.
Just wanted to thank you all for the help and lovely comments! This is such a supportive and friendly place! You guys are amazing!
WIP but stuck. Any suggestions?
I was inspired by a video from Robert Mee on YouTube. I changed a bit and I feel a little overwhelmed with the scene now. I also went bigger than I am usually comfortable with as I am trying to get used to bigger formats.
Swallow got the VIP treatment
I really wanted to know how this little guy would look all finished and pretty!
Barn swallow
Love that little guy!
Watercolor on 17 x 24 cm cotton paper
First time painting mountains
Don't mind the reflections in the water, there will be bears 😆
I feel a little intimidated and overwhelmed with the amount of details that could go into the mountains and don't want to overdo it 🙈
Open for suggestions and critique!
Under the willow tree
Looking forward to the next renaissance fair I got inspired.
This is a small painting, 21 x 15 cm and I was praying to the painting gods the paper would work with me as it was my last Hahnemühle pad. I am definitely moving away from Hahnemühle and will be getting more Arches.
I also herd god things about Baohong paper, has anyone here tried it?
Rose Pavillon
An older piece I finished now just so I can move on. I see a thousand things I would do differently now and I guess I could go back over it again but I just want to be done with it 😅
Snail - 13x18cm hot pressed cotton
My first painting I like that I did on hot pressed paper. Usually I fight the paper, being used to the properties of cold pressed. This time I just accepted what paint and paper did when they interacted and didn't try to "fix" and control too much.

Should I push the darker values more?
A little afraid to overdo it at this point...
(Character is from the r/ctoa short stories)
WIP Book Character Illustration
The sci-fi setting of the story (r/ctoa if you're curious) is a challenge for me. Love to paint all the details though!
