Hotel receiving fees on booth materials are getting insane

Got hit with a $45 per box handling fee by the on-site business center in Orlando last week because our collateral arrived three days before setup day.

Trying to bypass the crazy drayage rates at the convention hall by shipping to the host hotel backfired completely. They charged $180 just to move four small cartons from their loading dock to a closet behind the desk.

For smaller 10x10 setups I just check the pop-up banner in my luggage, route the product sheets through Mimeo so they land at the desk right on Tuesday morning, and grab badge clips at a local target after landing.

Do you guys just eat these rogue intake charges or push back on the master folio at checkout?

How are healthcare teams handling repetitive patient communication ?

One thing I’ve noticed in healthcare is how much time can disappear into the same routine questions from patients, appointment updates, follow-ups and other basic communication.

I’m curious how different clinics are handling this. Are staff still managing most of these conversations manually, or are some teams using AI to take care of the simpler requests?

I recently tried HealthTalk A.I. for this and was surprised by how much easier the day felt when some of the repetitive communication was handled automatically. It still left the more complicated or sensitive situations to the staff, which I think is important.

Has anyone else tried something similar in their clinic?

I have nothing left. How do you recover from burnout when you cannot take a break?

I have been running on empty for months. I am a manager at a small company. I am responsible for everything. Deadlines, budgets, team morale, client complaints. It never stops. I work late every night. I answer emails on weekends. I have not taken a real vacation in two years.

My body is giving up. I have headaches, insomnia, and a constant knot in my stomach. I feel completely numb. I cannot muster any enthusiasm for anything. I am just going through the motions. I have lost interest in hobbies. I avoid friends and family. I feel like I am failing at everything.

I know this is burnout. I have read all the articles. I know I need to set boundaries and take a break. But I cannot just stop. I have a mortgage and a family. My job is demanding and there is no one else to do it. I feel trapped.

I called Counseling Works today. I spoke to someone who understood. They helped me see that recovery is not about running away, but about finding small sustainable changes. I am starting to see a path forward.

Has anyone been through this? How do you recover when you cannot step away? Did therapy help you figure out how to manage it? I need real advice.

Best VPN for avoiding captcha walls right now?

Yo, looking for some solid recommendations because my current setup keeps getting flagged by every site I visit. Need something that doesn't get instantly burned out on heavy-traffic platforms. What are you guys using these days that works without slowing everything down to a crawl?

Edit: Thanks for all the DMs and suggestions, guys! Ended up checking out Mysterium VPN based on a few messages and started testing it out.

Anyone built with Garman Builders in the Lancaster area? Looking for feedback.

I am considering building a new home in the Lancaster area and Garman Builders is one of the builders I am looking at. They have been around for a while and seem to have a good reputation for quality and customer service.

I am a first time buyer and I am nervous about the process. I want to make sure I choose a builder who is reliable and communicative. Has anyone here actually built with them or know someone who has? How was the quality of the build and the overall experience? Did they stay on schedule and budget?

Any advice on what to ask during the initial consultation would also be helpful.

Why do we keep trusting a 92% CSAT when nobody is answering?

Let’s be honest for a second: our customer satisfaction dashboards almost always look great on paper, but the actual response rates are painfully low. We’re basing major retention decisions on a tiny slice of vocal extremes, either someone who is head-over-heels in love with the product or someone who is furious.

Everyone else is just ignoring our multi-question surveys because they don't have time for a quiz after every support ticket. We recently started shifting away from long-form feedback forms and tested out ultra-fast, single-click options (similar to what Customer Thermometer does). The jump in engagement was immediate because it doesn't feel like homework anymore.

What's your take? Are you still relying on traditional CSAT surveys, or have you found a way to get the silent majority to talk to you?

Any tradies here using self storage for their tools and stock?

I run a small electrical contracting business in Perth and my garage is overflowing with tools and stock. I am looking at renting a storage unit to free up space at home. I want somewhere secure and easy to access.
Any advices please, thanks!
