I was started on 10mg Nortriptyline for excruciating back pain back in May. After 4-5 weeks on that the pain came back so we went up to 20mg. After about 2 weeks on 20mg, I started to have numbness and tingling in my vaginal and anus area. My doctor sent me to ER to get an MRI and rule out Cauda Equina Syndrome- which was ruled out. So as of Wednesday she told me to go up to 30mg of Nortriptyline. I am not at a point I am completely numb everywhere down there... have frequency urgency to pee, but no UTI- I can't bear down to have a bowel movement... & I am just freaking out. Could the Nortriptyline be the cause of this!? They have no idea why it is happening.
