hi everyone, im a 1st year medical student in india and ik im thinking too far into the future but the only options after medicine i have are, either stay in india or the plab pathway, i cannot go for amc, usmle cuz they r just too expensive for me.

i have a cousin who is currently working in London as a radiologist over there and she was telling me on how difficult it is atp.

is there anyway that i can make a profile so that i could potentially increase my chances of getting an nhs job after my plab1, plab2 and gmc registeration. like is there any kind of courses, or research or anything that i can do to increase my chances b4 i finish my medical school (by 2031)

Hi everyone, i graduated 12th with 93% (pcb) in 2025 and took a drop year for neet and im gonna get a priv med clg.

I also got bsc biochem at a tier 1 uni.

The thing is that im frm a middle class family and we would need to spend about 35-40% of our entire savings for med clg. Also im would be a 1st gen doc.

Btw the uni i got into for biochem is pretty amazing for research and a lottt of our alumnis go abroad for their phds.

I took a priv med clg (my parents spent a lot of savings on it) and my aim was to give the dha exam abd go to the uae after my pg in india.

Now suddenly everyone is like, the uae is no more a good choice for indians cuz too many docs apply and the salaries of indians are veryyyy low.

Wtf do i even do then.

Usmle costs a lot (25-35lakhs) and since im gonna spend a huge chunk of our savings on priv med clg.

Plab is also bad for indians cuz of their new anti immigration laws.

Amc is also expebsive (20lakh+)and difficult.

Dha, saudi, oman, b other gulf countries are over crowded with indian docs.

India mei doctors dont get paid and are exploited

Btw the only reason i wna go to the uae is cuz i was born there and spent my early childhood upto my early teen yrs over there.

If there are any bsc alumnis here, what can you do after a bsc, like except becoming a teacher or a proffesor.

Im a 1st yr bsc hons lifescience student.

My sessionals are comming up in less than 2 weeks.

Our teachers js sent us a 1100 page pdf of a book and the topics in the syllabus are about 400-500 pages and she s like, everything is imp, sawal kahi se bhi aa sakta hai.

Like wtfff, how is anyone supposed to get good grades, every senior i talked to told me that a 7cgpa is considered super high.

Dude if im gonna prep for cat and do an mba, my ug marks hold a lotttt of weight if i wna get a good uni.

Im a 1st yr BSc hons student (lifescience).

I had orignally planned to take a partial drop since iv already taken 1 drop.

But this is borderline impossible, istg the syllabus for bsc hons is sooo much. Its impossible to do neet and bsc together.

I had a talk with my parents and they told me to "do what you think is best". Plus there s only 7.5 months left and idk if i cn do it in this time. Im done with 50% of the syllabus but im soooo confused.

If im not able to get a gmc, ill be back doin bsc but with another gap year😭😭. And gap yrs affect your chances of getting a job by a lottt if i do an mba after bsc.

What do i do. Im actually going insane, like actual borderline crazy. istg this neet and bsc is taking a hugeeeeee toll on my mental health

So im gonna be honest, this neet was my 2nd attempt and i scored 350 onlyyy cuz i stopped studying after 3rrd may and i ws sure tht im not gonna do mbbs.

After neet my mom ready to send me to a priv med clg but since it would take about 60% of our life savings i disagreed and didnt go.

I got bsc zoology at a tier 1 uni and decided to take a partial drop but its lowk impossible.

Now idk if i should quit uni, return back home or js quit neet, get good grades and then prep for CAT and do an mba.

I rlly wna do neet again. Idk kya kru, im lowk loosing it

I decided to take a partial drop and it was going pretty smooth too. But now my sessionals r gonna start n now in startibg to realise tht its near impossible for me to crack neet like this.

If i leave neet prep ill most probably prep for cat and do an mba from a good uni. Plus i hv a lott of opportunities to make a good profile since im studying at a rlly good uni.

or ill make a good profile and do msc in biotech outside of india. but hobestly even studying zoology is suffocating me cuz i never wanted to do this
