The five "elements" of the one power are the same as the five points of the Pentacle in paganism - spirit, fire, air, water and earth. It would make sense for this to be the ancient symbol of the aes sedai - it would make sense for this to be the modern symbol of the aes sedai! But they use a star of David, 2 triangles on top of one another. Ive barely started book 14 so maybe it's explained later, since Rand now has better memories of the Age of Legends? Or yk the other Dragons memories, but I feel like a pentacle would have made more sense
