I just had a winter season and after the berries hit 33% they stopped growing. Does anyone know why?

I tiled the dirt into farmland and planted them but they didn't go past 33% for the rest of winter

I am trying to use the escape rope to get out of a cave but it not working. Does it only work in the skull?

Can anyone help me, I dont know which place you find lead? I really want to start working with create but most of the recipes to get started need lead is it in the nether or so I need to go to the skull cavern?
