White film on clusters

How to you keep from having this white film on your lashes? I know it’s the seal, but is it because it’s a crappy seal? Are there other products that work better or techniques to avoid this?

UPDATE: Draco made it through surgery and is doing great! ❤️

The vet told me his surgery went better than any other surgery of this type they had performed, which was incredible to hear. When I visited him this afternoon, he was wide awake and happily stuffing his face with food. He even had it all o er his face. Lol.

They also discovered he had a pretty serious UTI, most likely from the catheter, but that is being treated and responding well. Right now, all signs are pointing in the right direction, and if everything continues as expected, he’ll be coming home tomorrow.

Thank you all for the love, encouragement, prayers, advice, and support throughout this journey. It has helped more than you know. Draco still has a recovery ahead of him, but today was a very good day. 🖤🐈‍⬛

My 2-year-old cat needs life-saving surgery and I can’t afford it.

A little over a week ago, Draco suddenly developed a urinary blockage; a medical emergency that can be fatal in male cats if not treated quickly.

Since then, he’s been hospitalized at multiple veterinary hospitals, catheterized, medicated, and monitored around the clock. Despite emergency treatment, he continues to re-block. His veterinarian now says a Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) surgery is his best chance at living a normal life.

The hardest part is that I couldn’t afford the emergency surgery when it was recommended by the specialty animal hospital. I was able to get his local vet to agree to do the surgery at a lesser cost, but that came with waiting.

To keep him alive while we wait for surgery day, Draco was discharged home with a urinary catheter. For the past week, I’ve essentially been acting as his round-the-clock nurse while also juggling two jobs. He’s wearing a cone, can’t use a litter box, has urine constantly dripping from his catheter, and requires cleaning, medications, and monitoring throughout the day and night.

I’ve already spent roughly $3,000 on emergency veterinary care, and his surgery is expected to cost another $2,000.

Draco’s surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2nd, at Cat’s Meow Veterinary Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Draco is only 2 years old. He’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and has so much life left to live. Watching him struggle has been heartbreaking, but I’m doing everything I can to get him through this.

I know everyone is struggling right now, and I don’t expect anything from anyone. Even an upvote, comment, prayer, or share helps more than you know.

If anyone is able to help, even a few dollars makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing his story would mean the world to us. Donations can be made by using the link below or by calling his vet directly at Cats Meow Veterinary Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC, USA.

My 2-year-old cat Draco needs life-saving surgery on Tuesday. Please send him some good vibes.

A little over a week ago, my cat Draco suddenly developed a urinary blockage. Since he is my first cat, I had no idea how serious it was until I rushed him to the emergency vet and was told that, without treatment, he could die.

Since then, he’s been hospitalized by 3 animal hospitals, catheterized, medicated, and monitored around the clock. Unfortunately, he keeps re-blocking, and his veterinarian now says surgery is his best chance at a normal life.

For the past week, I’ve essentially been acting as his nurse while also working two jobs. He currently has a urinary catheter, wears a cone 24/7, can’t use a litter box, and needs constant care and cleaning. Most nights I’ve only been sleeping a few hours at a time.

Yesterday was especially hard. He was clearly in pain and struggling. Thankfully, today he seems a little more comfortable and isn’t vocalizing as much, but he still needs surgery on Tuesday.

Draco is only 2 years old. He’s one of those cats who follows me from room to room, greets me at the door, plays fetch with hair tied, and has been my shadow since he was a kitten. He has so much life left to live.
