Unclear Prices
UPDATE: thank you for everyone’s insight, with your help I was able to get the enrollment fee waived completely just like I was told yesterday and I was able to purchase my membership. I still moved forward because I do think this sets a good precedent that I will not be taken advantage of at this studio 🤭
Visited a Club Pilates for an intro class yesterday and was told enrollment was $0. I specifically asked the front desk if I could call back later that day or the next day to sign up, and was told yes, with no mention that this was a monthly promotional rate ending that night. Enrollment jumped to $149 the next day. If this is a monthly promotion, front desk staff should know its terms and disclose them, especially when a customer asks directly about timing. I wasn’t given that information, and the fee changed as a result. When I explained this, I was offered 50% off instead of the terms I was originally quoted. I understand promotions end, but I was given incorrect guidance when I asked point-blank. Pricing also isn’t listed anywhere online, so customers rely entirely on staff for accurate information. Still waiting on a callback from a manager.
I really enjoyed the intro class and the instructor, but now I’m not so sure about purchasing a membership.
