Hey everyone,

my xTool F2 Ultra suddenly started rebooting during jobs.

Symptoms:

• machine works normally at startup
• after starting a job, it runs for ~20 seconds
• then it suddenly hard reboots as if power was cut
• no normal error message shown
• the external power adapter also briefly shuts off/restarts

Things I already tested:

• multiple wall outlets
• no power strips/extensions
• emergency stop button checked
• fans appear to work
• lens cover removed
• issue is reproducible

Software/Firmware:

• XTool Studio 1.6.8
• Firmware 40.54.020.00.ht5
• mostly connected over WiFi so far

but some of those seem related to an automatic XTool Studio update, so I’m not convinced that’s the root cause.

xTool support currently suspects:

• laser head fault
• power protection shutdown
• or PSU/overcurrent related issue

The machine is still under warranty (<1 year old).

Has anyone here experienced:

• sudden F2 Ultra reboots,
• PSU shutdowns,
• or defective laser heads causing protection shutdowns?

Would especially appreciate:

• known failure patterns
• temporary workarounds
• how long xTool warranty repairs took for you
