I got a second degree burn from my clothing steamer and I went to urgent care and they told me to let it dry out and apply Silver sulfadiazine. But today my toilet bowl cleaner spilt all over my wound. I called poison control and they said to go to the emergency room but I just went to urgent care. The first urgent care I went to he only looked at it from a distance and told me it was infected and told me to call poison control. I called poison control while sitting in the the urgent care room and the person on the other end said its awful the doctor is telling me to call urgent care and that he needs to assess the wound and give me wound care opinions. I leave this urgent care and felt uneasy about the whole situation. I decided to go to another urgent care and again the doctor there looked at my wound from a distance and told me ITS not infected and to just apply the ointment. The burn is right next to my knee joint so it hurts to walk. Its getting really painful to stand up. Is there any wound care i should be doing differently. Im just uneasy about this whole situation. Update: there is a black thing forming.
