Advice on being in multiple boards

I am currently on the OT list for multiple boards. I am not exactly sure where I want to move in the next couple of years, but my goal is to get permanent asap so that I can settle down somewhere.

The board that I’ve been wanting permanent in because it’s in my hometown which is where I currently live, seems like it’s going to take a very long time. In some of the other boards I’m in, I’ve had a lot more luck with getting interviews and it seems like there’s more opportunity.

I’m worried about taking LTOs in other boards this year though, because that means I may be off the list next year for the board where I currently live if I don’t get in my supply days. This is the board I’ve supplied the most in so far, and I’ve been making connections. I worry that I may be jumping the gun too soon and could miss some opportunities for upcoming LTOs and eventual permanent. Though, if an opportunity arises in another board, I don’t want to burn bridges there either. Recently, a VP in a nearby board that I had interviewed with for a contract informed me that an LTO would be opening soon and that I should apply, and I don’t want them to think I’m not interested in working for them if I don’t.

How do you decide which board to stick with?

Question about Trent AQs in July

I’m thinking of taking an AQ in July (4 weeks) with Trent but ill be on vacation for about a week in July. So far I’ve found Trent AQs easy and can get them done in like 2 weeks, so my plan would be to finish it quick right away before I leave. I’m just wondering if anyone has taken an AQ with them in the summer though where the content wasn’t all posted right away? Or if this would be difficult to do?

Can you apply for SOWP if the sponsor received AOR but we don’t have PA’s UCI yet?

I just got the AOR to sponsor my husband, Outland (but living in Canada). It has my UCI but he doesn’t have any previous documents with a UCI and hasn’t received anything from IRCC yet. I thought he could apply for SOWP once we got the AOR but do we have to wait until something is sent with his UCI?

Is this AOR

I got an email with subject “Application for permanent residence” from a weird IRCC information email, just to tell me I’m getting a $5 refund. It doesn’t say what for, but mentions my name and applicants name and address and our type of application. It has an application and UCI number at the top too. This is the first communication we have from them, and applicant got nothing, just me the sponsor. It says nothing about our application status or that they’ve acknowledged our application. Does this count as AOR? Why haven’t they sent anything else?

Honours specialist question

I am thinking of eventually doing a combined honours specialist that incudes general science and math — I am qualified in senior sciences but do not have enough courses to do the combined specialist for them, but I have more than enough for science in general. If I were to have an honours specialist in general science though, would that bar me from teaching the senior sciences I want to teach? Would I be given more intermediate science courses because I have the specialist?
